China 2020. Best selling cars ranking. The top 100

Best Selling Cars Models ranking in China in 2020 updated at April has a new leader, the Nissan Sylphy outpacing the former leader, the Volkswagen Lavida, which was on top in the last 3 years. All top models are losing heavily.The Chinese new vehicles market is the largest in the World and is characterized by a very low concentration of sales in the top models. Indeed the top 10 models sales represent only the 14.4% of the market, while the top 50 represent the 43.5% and the top 100 the 66%.The best-seller in the period 2010-2015 was always a light commercial, the Wuling Hongguang, which is utilized both a minibus and eight seats MPV. Since the 2017 the leadership was in the hands of the Volkswagen Lavida, a compact sedan, which in 2019 reached a peak of 2.4% market share.In the first four months 2020 the market presents a new best seller: the Nissan Sylphy, which sold 134.376 units (-24.6%), gaining the leadership ahead of the former leader, the Volkswagen Lavida with 127.132 (-41.1%) units and the Wuling Mini Truck with 122.130 (-17.9%).In fourth place the Toyota Corolla with 115.418 sales (-22.7%) followed by the Volkswagen Bora with 105.132 (-4.0%), the Haval H6 with 97.370 (-37.4%), the Foton Light Truck with 97.235 (-31.4%) and the Chana light truck with 90.940.In nine place the Volkswagen Sagitar with 80.921 (-16.9%) and in 10th place the Wuling Hongguang with 75.624 (-52.9%).Tables with sales figuresIn the tables below we report sales for the top 100 ModelsThis content is for members only.
