France best selling cars ranking in the First Half of 2020 sees the Renault Clio on top ahead of its archenemy the Peugeot 208 by near 5k units. The Renault Twingo jumped in 8th position, while the Renault Zoe boomed 98.8%.In the First Half of 2020, the Renault Clio was the new market leader, with 46.747 year-to-date sales (-11.8%), outpacing Peugeot 208 by near 5k units. Indeed, the 208 registered 41.162 units (-26.8%) in the first half of the year.Launched in 1990, the Renault Clio just arrived at the fifth generation having spent almost all his commercial live on top of this market. The new generation starts from a leadership with a market share stable since the 2015 between the 5.5% and 5.8%, aiming to recover in the next year the 7.0% did in the 2013, when the fourth generation was launched.The third place was taken by the Citroen C3, selling 24.431 units (-42.7%), followed by the Peugeot 2008 with 23.901 (-33%), the Dacia Sandero with 22.770 (-41.4%) and the Renault Captur with 22.750 (-43%).In seventh place, we found the Peugeot 3008 with 20.501 units sold (-49%), followed by the Renault Twingo – up 4 spots – with 20.225 (-21.2%), the outstanding Renault Zoe with 17.650 (+98.8%) and the Toyota Yaris with 15.404 (-26.4%).Tables with sales figuresIn the tables below we report sales for the Top 50 models.This content is for members only.
