Russia best selling car ranking in 2020 sees the Lada Granta (8% share) in first position, ahead of the former leader, the Lada Vesta (6.8% share). Remarkable performance scored by the Toyota Rav4, ending up in the top 10 with 2.4% share.
The Russian brand Lada has placed 2 models on the podium, and 3 in the top 10. Indeed, the Lada Granta remained the market leader in 2020, wth 8% market share and 71.922 sales, ahead of the former leader, Lada Vesta, which in recent years has climbed the ranking, and after stabilizing at around 6% share, this year it increased almost to 7%, with 60.944 sales.
Closing the podium, we find the Kia Rio – which in the last decade has gained nearly 3 points of share – selling 50.859 units (5.7% share).
The fourth place was held by the Hyundai Creta at 44.308 sales (5% share), widening the gap over the followers, the Volkswagen Polo, and the Hyundai Solaris, with 4% and 3.1% market share respectively.
In 7th place we have the Lada Largus, with 2.5% share, followed by the fast-growing Toyota Rav4 and the Skoda Rapid -climbing 2 spots-, both with 2.4% share.
In 10th place there is the Volkswagen Tiguan -climbing 2 spots- with 20.118 sales and 2.2% market share.
